A persistent link (also called a persistent URL or durable link) is a direct and stable link to a specific online
article. Persistent links allow quick access to articles from library databases. Usually you cannot just copy and paste the link directly from your browser. A persistent or permanent link must be created, to ensure that you can get back to the resource needed. Instructors often make articles available in Educator with a persistant link. Students can also send these links to instructors as necessary.
For psychology students, the two most common places that links may come from are Ebsco and Sage databases.
Ebsco (this includes PsycINFO and PsycARTICLES among others)
Look for the URL in the Persistent Link to this record (Permalink) feature in an Ebsco article citation.
